Round Bar Table – How To Build It

Round bar Table, are space-saving, its usually use for hipster bar atmosphere or corner cafe vibe. Place them in a space. If the correct accessories are chosen, these round bar table may provide a sense of hipster flair to any space. Using simple materials, we constructed a traditional round bar table, and it turned out well. This straightforward do-it-yourself round bar table project is ideal for beginners since it provides a high-quality finish with little equipment and supplies. You will be guided through the process of creating a functional and aesthetically pleasing round bar table.

Step 1: Purchase Materials

  • Flathead and Phillips-Head Bits

We chose a 24" circular, wooden table top for our bar table. Pre-cut table tops are available from us or your neighborhood hardware shop.   We wanted to achieve a classic look for our round bar table, something reminiscent of what you would see in an old-world pub or an upscale bar. We decided on a dark chestnut wood stain. There are a number of other ways you could finish your round bar table. Painting your round bar table top with a custom color to match your room is a great option. Whatever finish you choose, make sure to keep in mind the color and style of your seating.   In our case, there are a few things you need be aware of while handling stain. There is probably still some sawdust on the table top, so you should start by wiping it clean with a moist towel. Next, confirm that you are operating in an area with enough ventilation. Wood stain stains hands, so you might wish to wear gloves as well. For optimal results, apply the stain in clean strokes parallel to the grain of the wood. The majority of stains appear better after two coats. Selecting a table foundation is the next step. Table bases come in a wide variety of types and designs. Check out How to Choose a Table foundation for assistance in selecting a table foundation. a classic style, we decided on a matte black cast iron X-base.   Before you mount your table base to your table top you will want to clear a space to work in. In order to protect the surface of your table top, lay down a blanket or sheet. Place your table top face down on the blanket. First, you will need to find the center point of your table top. This can be done by measuring the diameter of the table top and marking at half the diameter. To do this, lay your tape measure at the widest point of the table top and mark the halfway point.   Next, mark the midway point once more by positioning your tape measure at a 90-degree angle to where you initially lay it. The middle of the table top will now be indicated by an X. You can skip to the following step if your mounting plate includes a hole that lets you view your mark. You will need to measure the width of the mounting plate if, like in our example, you are unable to see the mark or if it is welded to the column. Mark the distance from your center point on either side of the measurement after dividing it in half. Apply the same procedure now to the plate's height.   Now that you have the marks, you can precisely position the mounting plate on your table top. Align your marks with the mounting plate's edges. You will need to balance the base on top of the table top if your table base is welded together. If you would choose, you may alternatively set the table top on your mounting plate and proceed with the remaining procedures from beneath. With a 1/16" drill bit in your hand, drill 1/4" deep guide holes. Visit your neighborhood home improvement store to select the proper length screw if the ones that come with your table top are too long or not supplied at all. Either #9 or #10 screws will suit the majority of mounting plates. Before installing your table, if your base is a thru-bolted assembly, attach your column to the mounting plate. Put leveling feet on if needed. Make sure your round bar table is level by checking for any swaying and adjusting your levelers accordingly. Drive in the screws to secure the table top.
